Marconi colour bar generator BD880

The Marconi colour bar generator BD880, produced the Red, green, and blue signals that would have been fed to the equipment under test or the a colour coder. This unit has not been used and it still has the protective masking tape on the rack flanges.

Equipment of this type was used for the BBC experimental colour work and transmissions from Alexandra Palace in 405 line NTSC.
